Taking a Leap of Faith

On January 2017, I made what some people would consider an irrational decision. I had a great job, working for a great company, and on a trajectory to having a wonderful career. I was comfortable, I was making money, but most of all I was where everyone wants to be—safe. From the outside in, everything looked perfect. However, I knew deep down, I wasn't where I was suppose to be in life. Something needed to change.

We all want certainty. That’s natural. Certainty makes us feel safe. But in the game of life often where we find the most growth is outside of our comfort zone. Living the life I wanted meant making some big changes.

After leaving my job I put an important focus on the next 30 days that would follow. I didn't want to sit in depression or be paralyzed from the unknown. Instead, I found my solace in reflecting at the end of each day. For the next 30 days, I reflected, lost myself in books, spent time with family and friend, and most importantly, I prayed. Below you will find my story captured in 30 blog post about what exactly 30 days after leaving my job.

"At the end of it all, we all have two life lists: All the things we actually did, and all the things we wish happened. Focus on building the first list, starting right here and now."
