DAY 18: WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO HAVE A ROUTINE; HIKING AND BRUNCH SUNDAY’S

A few weeks ago, one of my very good friends asked me to go hiking with her (Thanks Rachel!) and since then, I’ve been hiking these last few Sunday’s. Not only is it part of my routine now but I’ve also added something else to it: BRUNCHING. From now on, every time I go hiking, I’ll spend time after rewarding myself with brunch. This is really great and interesting because when I was working so many crazy hours, I never had time to do the things I truly love.

 

What’s really great about hiking is that it helps with clearing my mind. Anyone that knows me knows that my mind is constantly racing at all times. This is one of the main reasons I can’t sleep at night. When I’m hiking, I get distracted by the sounds around me, the people near me, and even the smell of the air. There’s so much to take in that I become still. But after a long day of hiking there’s nothing better than arriving at brunch. I’ve always been a big breakfast person so this move was very strategic..or simple. The restaurant I went to is(which is where the image above was taken) called Aksum (thank me now).
